Program Description

Event Details

This course will be a hands-on hot water bath workshop for processing high-acid foods.  Participants will preserve and take home a jar of jam and a Ball Home Canning Discovery Kit will be given away to a lucky participant as a door prize.  In addition, each participant will receive a bound copy of the USDA Guide to Home Canning.  In this workshop, we will emphasize proper equipment and following recommended guidelines and recipes to ensure that the food you preserve at home is safe and delicious.

Feel free to bring your pressure canner lid to the workshop for free testing.
