Mom, do you desire to stretch and develop your mind so that you can be the best version of yourself? Is the ever-present screen exhausting you, and you'd like to connect with other women who can motivate and encourage you to pursue more than Instagram offers? You might want to check out your local Well-Read Mom Book Club!
Well-Read Mom accompanies women in the reading of great books and spiritual classics to encourage personal growth, friendship, and meaningful conversations in order to explore the human condition and reorient ourselves to what is good, beautiful, and true. In Well-Read Mom, women read more and read well. Our hope is to deepen the awareness of meaning hidden in each woman's daily life, elevate the cultural conversation, and revitalize reading literature from books.
January 8th: The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo
February 12th: The Chosen by Chaim Potok
March 12th: Purgatorio by Dante Alighieri
April 9th: This is Happiness by Niall Williams
Light refreshments provided. This club is appropriate for those 18+ years old. Registration is not required but is encouraged.
The group is led by a mom with a graduate degree in English, but the meetings aren't lecture-based. Instead, we have a welcoming environment and thoughtfully interact with the literature. Also, you don't technically need to be a mom to join us, but our main focus is encouraging women to read more.
