Come and explore how to make a Friendship Star Block with members of the Lake Quilters Guild!
Your instructors will guide you in making a block that you can then turn into a hot pad or make additional blocks to turn into a quilt. All materials needed to make this block will be supplied by the Lake Quilters Guild and the workshop instructor. Please bring your own working sewing machine if you have one and are familiar with using it.
The Friendship Star Block was very popular in the late 1800 to early 1900’s as quilters would make the blocks for friends who were getting married or moving to another part of the country. The star appears to spin around the center square.
Registration is required for this workshop.
