This one man show "A Story and a Song '' is a nontraditional look at the music of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The stories and songs reach into the soul of a people with a surprising and truly unique perspective regarding who we are and the music we honestly create.  Audiences are touched by the heartfelt and authentic experience. 

Performed by Sam Wheelock, a storyteller-singer-songwriter with credits including involvement in a Grammy nominated radio series, major films like "The Addams Family", network television, "Baywatch" and he was the staff composer/producer for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution/Cox Communications (with tons of awards for advertising music).  2022 saw an appearance on 190 PBS television stations as a featured performer with "Song of the Mountains".
