This dynamic exhibit showcases the creative energy flowing through the Bower Center for the Arts in Bedford, VA.
Bower Power features work by Revelle Hamilton, a former New York fashion designer turned accomplished watercolorist, teacher, and long-time supporter of the Bower Center, where she served on the board and continues to serve on the Emerging Artist and Exhibits Committees; Janie Mantooth, an Artist in Residence and member of the Exhibits Committee, whose vibrant studio practice includes painting, stained glass, clay, and collage; Andrea Wild, the Center’s 2025 Emerging Artist, whose recent work in mosaics and watercolor marks a joyful return to creative expression; and Katie Viemeister, a dedicated artist and active member of both the Exhibits and Emerging Artist Committees, whose path back to art led her to mosaics after an early foundation in drawing and painting. Together, their work spans a rich variety of media and styles, reflecting personal journeys, evolving practices, and a shared passion for the creative life.
Located at 305 N. Bridge Street, the Bower Center is a nonprofit community arts hub offering exhibitions, performances, classes, and open studios. Admission is free and all are welcome. For more information about the Bower Center, contact Executive Directors Susan Martin or Ryan Steffan at 540-586-4235.
The exhibit will be available for viewing during library hours, August 2nd through October 4th.
