Freezing is a quick, convenient, and easy method of preserving foods in the home.  The Freezing method preserves nutritive quality, color and texture of your freshly grown fruits, produce, and meats.

As interest in home canning, freezing, and drying continues to grow, Susan Prillaman, FCS Agent, Virginia Cooperative Extension, is ready to offer up-to-date information and hands-on workshops on Food Preservation methods.

The Virginia Cooperative Extension, is a trusted leader with research-based information to make your food preservation efforts safe and successful at home.

Come and join us for a workshop to learn about freezing your locally grown harvest!  In this session, learn how to safely prepare, pack, freeze, and thaw foods at home, including fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, meats, fish, prepared meals, and baked goods.  Freeze Now, Eat Later!

Please bring a favorite recipe to share during the recipe swap as well.
