Come and make a crazy quilt block or two with members of the Lake Quilters Guild!
You will be instructed in making this wonderful block that creates a kaleidoscope of colors perfect for a pot holder/hot pad or mug rug. All needed materials will be provided. If you have a sewing machine, please bring that to use with white thread.
This vintage block was first publicized after the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. It became all the rage for quilters in the 1880s and has been a "go-to" block for folks wanting to use up their stash of fabric scraps. Some of the original blocks included hand embroidery. Luckily, we can now use decorative stitching with some of our contemporary sewing machines.
Registration is required for this workshop.
