Event Details

Joy Barefoot will share readings from her latest book of poetry and prose followed by a time for questions and a book signing.  She gives voice to memories of the Great Depression, World War II and Vietnam while addressing the problems of cultural hypocrisy and social inequality in the places where she grew up in the South.  Ms Barefoot's call to compassion and caring is a prompt to kind interactions with those we know and meet throughout life.

Sifting Your Life and Gathering Pearls by Joy Angell Stalvey Barefoot is her fourth published poetry book.
