Program Description

In this fun and hands-on Color Our World Summer Reading Program workshop, kids, tweens, and teens are invited to cut, paste, and collage text and images, from which we'll make zines — like DIY small books meant to be short and sweet and shared with friends.
We'll look at a couple of different styles of zines, as well as a couple of different methods of bookbinding. Participants are encouraged to exercise their creativity and enjoy the imperfect process of a handmade thing. Maybe this will be the start of a zine library!
All materials will be provided.
