Hear ye! Hear ye! The sun doth shine, the flowers’ faces doth smile, and the Big Island Library doth have quite an eventful calendar scrolling out ahead of us, for the summer season approaches with all the swift grace of a shooting star galloping across our great sky!
This coming most warm and verdant of seasons, the Library will with all our wits explore the magic of medieval literature and of course that legendary ole bard William Shakespeare and, in particular, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Through a number of different crafts and activities for Grades 1-5 including Reader’s Theatre, design of simple sets, practice of various Medieval-type talents and intermittent buffoonery, participants will practice to showcase their talent in a performance on June 30th.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Big Island Library.
